The Battle of Barnet was fought on the morning of Easter Day 14 April 1471. The armies fought across the heath in thick fog & heavy gunsmoke of artillery. In the ensuing four hours of fighting much confusion reigned & battle lines wheeled around a 45 degree axis. Eventually with the Lancastrian army in disarray the Earl of Warwick, the Kingmaker, was cut down.
